Faucet Shank

Faucet Shank
Need help with my kegerator PLEASEEEE!?

Setup:

-5lb CO2 canister
-pressure on keg: 10psi
-Quarter Keg of Bud Light (Got cheapest keg first to play with)
-5ft of 3/16 ID beer line tubing
-3in stainless shank
-Perlick Faucet
-Temp inside of kegerator reads 37 deg F

When I pull the handle, the beer flys out of the faucet. The glass will be about 75% foam and 25% flat beer. If the pressure is backed off at all, the beer comes out a good pour but very flat. I have an irish coffin style tower that is not cooled. I know foam will build up over time in the top of the line because it is not cooled, but it’s not just the first beer. It will happen even when several beers have been attempted and the faucet is distributing fresh beer from the keg.

How do I raise the carbonation of the beer and reduce the amount of foam?

Are you sure it isn’t foamy because the keg has been recently tapped? This typically goes away after several pours. If you’re confident this isn’t the problem, then you may just need to play around with the psi setting until you’re able to find a happy medium between flat and foamy. Seems everything else you described is the way it should be….hang in there – hopefully all you need is a little patience.

Vending Machines

Vending Machines
The Health Care Reform bill has a section that restricts food in vending machines. What is your take on that?

Sweets and empty calories will be banned from School vending machines. What is your opinion, should the Government monitor what is offered in a vending machine?

In schools? Yes, they should be banned there. During those times when a government institution (public schools) are in charge of our kids they should be responsible.

If a parent wants their kids to eat junk they can always send them to school with it. The majority of parents want to limit our children’s acces to junk foods not encourage it.

Waist Aprons
What this passage from a pee in the hotel?

The old counter, shelves and other accessories for the little shop was as he had left. It is confirmed that the workshop killed the guard, with a white wig, a faded velvet coat, apron around his waist and cuffs carefully turned his wrists perhaps seen through the shutters during the night of the year, putting the cash bag, or leaning on the pages of his newspaper dirty. Air pain unspeakable in his face, seemed to be his destiny to spend eternity in a vain to make their accounts balance. Cap. One of the Seven Gables Hawthorne Nathan
