connecting to an open wifi via airpot at a cafe (mac)?
I have connected at the Coffee Bean many times in the past but since a couple weeks ago when someone messed around with my settings i havent been able to. it says i am connected but safari cannot find the server and my network status says something like: “AirPort is connected to the network Coffee Bean…. but there is a self assigned ip (isp?) addy and you may not be able to connect…” any advice?
Check your IP Config settings, they my be set to fixed IP address.
It needs to be “Obtain Automatically”
