Is it rude to study for hours at a restaurant or coffee?
Sometimes I spend eight hours in places like Panera Bread and Barnes & Noble to study. I recently began studying at IHOP restaurants 24 hours in the middle of the night. I always leave things for free and, if necessary. Is there an unwritten rule against it? I'm like a bum, because I never studied in the same place more than a day in a row.
God is a good question, I think if it is a place to go to the bar and order as a Panera or Starbucks, or any bookstore and quite acceptable. I mean, why should they be important if you are there all night if you've made your purchase. Barns and Noble always so many people there at any time by giving not seem to care if people fall asleep there. However, if you're in a restaurant where you are getting served can be sticky. I would say that if the restaurant is "full" and you have a table and servers advice then it is likely to be hard. but if IHOP (which is never complete), it does not really matter that much because people do not withdraw this advice. It does not hurt just to ask the waitress, "hey you mind if i study here." Good question. When I study, I must be in the library, too many people around the study does not consider me .. lol
